Ok, so this "alien pony thing" is totally from my childhood when my childhood friend and I came to the conclusion that if we pretended the fakies where aliens we got more ponies to play with that we did not "hate".
Early "racism" of toys, what's that "toyism"?
So unrelated to actual fakies, later on we made up that gold and silver where colours of alien ponies and they only had symbols on one side.
I could not figure any better reason to why Dome would bring a baby pony. So while I had not planned on bothering revealing that, I ended up doing so anyway. (It has no other use in the story AT ALL).
Btw, for you who know me, my art, or my custom ponies, Kaxian is Count the Stars dad.
Early on he was planned to make a short appearance in this comic, but I cut that part.

Finally I have the time to catch up with this comic! Poor Flaming Beauty (was that her name? I've forgotten D; ) has very nice expression on the last panel. It's also amazing how well this page finally kicks in the fact how big she seems to be compared to the other ponies.
