Stripes

The story behind this image is probably more interesting then the picture itself.
What it is inspired by.
See, when I'm about to fall asleep, if a sudden noise appears, for a split second I see a pattern. Usually very complex ones that I don't remember later. But there was one time, in summer 2015, when a sound made me see a blue and white striped background and a human shape in a blue and white striped tux. Afterwards I could not tell if it was a male or female shape, just that it was human. But I thought it was quite funny.
I decided to make a quick drawing inspired by this odd split second view.

I chose Opalond III ('Opalond the third', not to be confused with the seventh). But instead of a tux (too complicated for a quick picture) I made a pajama.
He has humour.

I made up a scenario where he and his mate (female) takes in on a hotel, gets promised a nice room and when they enter they both complain over the ugly walls. His mate mentions it looks like the pajama that one of his soldiers has. Now they have to compare. The soldier does not want to put it on just to walk around a striped room, so III:rd borrows the pajama. He takes a seat and tries to look serious as he pulls of bad jokes.  Such as "I'm blending in" and other obvious dumb things. Meanwhile his mate laughs hysterically.

...And afterwards he probably visits bananas in pajamas and makes banana pie...  (I didn't think about it until I was half through colouring it XD)

Among his people (and generations later) Opalond III is known as "the warlord", since he seems to have a thing for wars. So, not the best first impression of him, this picture XD
He should be more "beefy" as well, quick pictures tend to get misleading



Paper, promarkers, fineliners and tape that didn't help much when I tried to get straight lines  (bleed-proof paper, yeah right...)
